Bio-Identical Hormone Optimisation
Jevani Health & Skin Care provides a comprehensive service for women's and men's health. This includes Body-IDENTICAL HORMONE REPLACMENT THERAPY (HRT), and other HORMONES of human type, to enhance healthy ageing benefits. As we age, our bodies lose several essential functions, one of which is hormonal decline, in women this is menopause, and in men it is dubbed as andropause. Human identical hormones are used. Nutraceuticals and special supplements are used in conjunction with above technology to improve body function, and healthy aging. The Hormone replacement best option depends on patient medical history, symptoms and individual risk factors. The corner stone of your life is your Genetic makeup, in the form of DNA TESTING
( optional), evaluates genetic based health guidance. There are over 165 Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) that are performed, providing a close look into the defects in the bodies metabolic processes, and these metabolic hazards can be mitigated.
Chronic disease is also evaluated using Personalised Preventative Care principles (patients must visit every 3 months) for treatment which are provided for chronic immune disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, metabolic disorders (diabetes, obesity, heart disease), early memory loss, psychological disorder, neurological disorders, nutritional, environmental and others. Musculoskeletal Pain
To combat bone, joint and muscle pain, Jévani Health & Skin Care uses therapies, such as:
- Prolotherapy (injection of dextrose into joints, ligaments or tendons)
- PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma)
- PBM (Photobiomodulation - LED light therapy)
PROLOTHERAPY is used for joints, muscle and tendons, and hard to treat body and musculoskeletal problems. Most of the joints and tendons of the body do not have direct contact with nutrition, as they degenerate they lead to pain and inflammation. Prolotherapy provides direct nutrition to them, and enhances the quality of tendons and joints and reduces pain.
PRP (platelet rich plasma) is also done for musculoskeletal disorders including knee, ankle, shoulder and other joints in arthritis and pain. This is a form of treatment, and also includes small amounts of stem cell along with platelets to allow for healing. The philosophy is to merge cutting edge technology with the body's own natural ability to heal.
Neural Therapy is a form of injectable treatment to downregulate severely stimulated and painful nerves in the back or limbs.
Photobiomodulation (PBM): laser LED light treatment of different frequencies ranging from infrared to the blue light frequencies are used in various musculoskeletal problems. This is predominantly used in conjunction with PRP and Prolotherapy.

Max Pulse (Stress Test)
The Max Pulse is a non-invasive way to test cardiovascular health and Autonomic Nervous System.

Holistic Cancer Care
For people with cancer, Holistic CANCER CARE is another option. Traditional oncology uses 3 principles: surgery, chemotherapy and radiation therapy, all of which have proven very useful. The Holistic model adds on to this and uses other modalities of treatment and care. Chemosensitivity (CTCs) testing of your cancer cells are performed, personalising your treatment. NATURAL AND HERBAL medicines are also prescribed. It also uses mind-body medicine, hormonal health, nutritional principles and physical activity models.
Medical Cannabis Consultations
Medicinal cannabis is now a new modality of treatment for chronic pain as in fibromyalgia, musculoskeletal pain, cancer pain and neuropathic pain.
The treatment is predominantly with CBD in the initial stages and when required it can be escalated as a combination with THC (psychotropic). Medicinal cannabis can be suitable for some patients who have failed most other forms of treatment including opiates. As this is a form of treatment, it requires a prolonged consultation and prescription will be provided if the doctor believes it is appropriate for patient's condition, although for many conditions the evidence remain limited.
Medicinal Cannabis is not covered by Medicare
Health Checks
40-49 year old health checks are done to prevent future Chronic Disease. In particular; Diabetes, heart disease, mental illness, Osteoarthritis and also diseases that the individual is predisposed to. During this session, a detailed history and examination is done and hand written guidelines are provided. Tests and work ups are also performed in order to help educate the patient about the prevention of chronic disease.
People aged 75 and older are eligible for an annual health check.
The 75+ yearly health check is to assess people on their ability to drive, maintain their lives comfortably and to evaluate if they need aged care help or other forms of care.
A 75+ health check usually involves:
- Review of medical history
- Review of medications
- Review of immunisations
- Physical examination
- Mental examination
- Cognitive examination
- Provide assistance, guidelines and advice on management
- Provide referrals if required for blood test and/or radiology
- Drivers license may also be done during this time
Care Plans
For people with long standing chronic disease or processes, over 6 months the care plan provides services to allied health and also reinforces guidelines to to prevent chronic disease. The allied health services include:

Mental Health Plans
This is a 20-40-minute consult that allows our doctor to carry out a current mental state assessment, look at any underlining mental health issues and go through the patient's history of mental health issues. This can include cases of childhood trauma, growth and development issues in adolescents, bullying and school issues, body image and eating disorders, domestic violence, marital disharmony and other causes leading to depression and anxiety.
Questionnaires are completed and added to the intake forms after which a complete relevant medical, social, psychiatric and physical history is documented in the plan. This plan is valid for 12 months.
If needed, further referral can be written and sent through to a mental health professional of the patient's choice.
Vaccines and Immunisations
Jévani Health & Skin Care can administer a range of different vaccinations and immunisations.

Catch up vaccination at any age incurs a fee and is not refunded through Medicare.
Aesthetic Medicine
Jévani Health & Skin Care offers aesthetic needs by doing RADIOFREQUENCY facial rejuvenation, FRACTIONAL LASER rejuvenation, facial PEELS, Micro Needling , Microdermabrasion, Photobiomodulation (LED Light) and Injectables for rejuvenation.
Platelet rich plasma (PRP) is also injected for collagen rejuvenation and hair loss as well as facial rejuvenation. The effectiveness of this treatment results varies from patient to patient depend on their life style and overall health.
PHOTOBIOMODULATION is a complimentary to the PRP treatment as it enhances the biological effects of the therapy.
Other Injectable procedures are neurobiomodulators (botulinum toxin), PRP Nappage and medical grade Micro needling is used for rejuvenation.
Initial consultation is required before proceding with any treatment.

Radiofrequency PelleveList Item 1
This is a treatment method that uses deep heating of the collagen and tissues under the skin to enhance the quality and strength of the collagen, leading to new collagen formation and enhances the skins appearance and has an anti-aging effect. Spider vessels on the skin can be removed with this method, also PREVENTATIVE melanoma treatment is done using this methodology, and is personalised to your needs.

Laser TherapyList Item 2
This method also allows for enhancing the thickness and quality of the collagen in the skin, and like the Radiofrequency machine, it is used over the face, neck, Décolletage and back of hands. These are non-invasive and effective methods, and must be repeated at regular intervals to maintain the vitality of the collagen.

Skin PeelsList Item 3
Currently we are offering Enzyme peels and these are safe, useful and effective methods, to remove dead skin, peel of pigments, and give a glow to the skin. This also must be repeated at regular intervals. Once the skin is peeled it is re-infused with growth factors to enhance its quality. A 24 hour downtime is expected.

PhotobiomodulationList Item 4
A form of LED light therapy is applied, this is a new and effective method to enhance the skin appearance and regenerate the skin. It is also used in skin disorders like acne, milia and rosacea and vitiligo. It has antibacterial effect and is used in wound healing and pain.

Microdermabrasion
This is a mechanical skin peel, a diamond tip device is applied to the skin and it peels of the surface of the dead skin, leaving it glowing and allows for growth factors to be applied and also for LED therapy to stimulate the grow the skin into a lively one. This procedure must be repeated at frequent intervals. One day downtime is expected.

Microneedling
This is a medical procedure where the skin is punctured with micro-needles at very high speeds providing deep access of the growth factors and even PRP to penetrate the skin, making this one of the best methods for skin rejuvenation and regeneration. Some amount of bleeding is expected, and a downtime of 3-4 days is advised. This is also used for hair restoration. Skin anaesthesia is used in this procedure.

PRP - Platelet Rich Plasma
PRP stand for Platelet Rich Plasma, which is blood plasma containing a high concentration of platelets, also known as thrombocytes. PRP can help regenerate and revitalize damaged skin, reduce fine lines and help to improve skin texture. PRP is a solution to accelerate natural healing of tendon injuries and osteoarthritis. The philosophy is to merge cutting edge technology with the body's own natural ability to heal. We conduct PRP after proper examination, palpation, localization using electrical methods and injections using ultrasound.

Practice Fees
We are not a bulk-bill practice, except for DVA GOLD (conditions apply).
Existing Patients with pension card (75+), and being part of this practice for Minimum of 10 consecutive years will be bulk-billed, an Annual Service Fee applied for these patients.
Patients who do not fall into these categories will be charged a standard fee which will include a Medicare Rebate. In order to claim the Medicare rebate, a cheque or savings account must be used.
Outside normal hours (home visits) is another service offered by our Health Centre but it does incur a private fee of $150 (minimum) depending on the distance our doctor has to travel. Conditions apply.

After Hours
Jévani Health & Skin Care collaborates with Hello Home Doctor as its designated after-hours service provider. Following the conclusion of a home visit, Hello Home Doctor promptly sends a comprehensive report to the clinic. Within a span of 24 hours from the receipt of the report, our dedicated reception team initiates contact with the patient to schedule a follow-up appointment with their doctor.
